Keira is very excited that she is going to be a BIG SISTER! We're welcoming a baby brother to our family in November. Keira is starting to understand what it all means. If you ask her where the baby is, she'll point to my belly and say "In Mommy's tummy!" She knows the baby is a baby brother, and she'll give my belly hugs and kisses- but I don't think she has any idea what it all means. She is a wonderful helper and I think she'll love helping when we bring her brother home.
Because of the baby, I couldn't go on any of the rides with Keira at our neighborhood Spring Fest, so we invited Cortney to come along. Keira and Cortney went on Keira's first carnival ride, and Keira loved it! Cortney said Keira kept looking for mommy during the spinning ride, and their conversation went something like this- "Cortney, where Mommy? Where Mommy? There's Mommy! Mommy!...Cortney, where Mommy? Where Mommy? There's Mommy! Mommy!" The ride was fast, but they had a great time!
Grandma and Grandpa made several trips down to San Diego this spring- they definitely are visiting a lot more often since we doubled the amount of grandchildren they had! Keira loves visiting with Grandma and Grandpa, and especially seeing "Baby Charlie!" We always love seeing them, thank goodness they bought a Prius, they can still afford to come down and visit with these crazy gas prices!!
We also always love taking a walk at Lake Murray, it's one of Keira's favorite places, and I love getting outside and enjoying beautiful San Diego! We've been taking Keira's tricycle down to the lake and letting her ride around and look for ducks to feed. She always makes sure to take a few pieces of bread for herself as well. :)
