Easter Fun!

We had a fabulous Easter this year!  We started our weekend with a trip to Juliana and Steven's annual Easter Egg Hunt, where we enjoyed delicious food and a fun egg hunt.  Keira was uninterested in the pinata- she even refused the candy Steve offered to her.  I was shocked that my child turned down candy, so we immediately began pinata practice at home the next day.  :)  We were so busy, I never had a chance to get out my camera and capture any pictures!  Bad mommy, I know...
Before we headed over to Juliana and Steven's, we walked to the San Carlos Recreation Center for their Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration.
There were tons of kids there, and Keira had tons of fun, especially in the bounce house.  She bounces around everywhere she goes anyways, she was in heaven in the bounce house.  She didn't even mind waiting in line!
After the bounce house, we made a Easter puzzle and took a ride on the "train"... which was really a four wheeler pulling wooden carts.  Keira decided about two seconds in that she hated the ride and wanted NOTHING to do with it.  Unfortunately, they don't stop once they've started, so I got to take two trips around the Rec Center with a whiny 2 year old.  Needless to say, we took one ride and we were done.
After the activities, it was time for the egg hunt!  I (bad Mommy) forgot her Easter Egg Basket at home- I'm blaming baby brain- so we improvised and used her hat for a basket.  It worked just fine for collecting the eggs, she never knew the difference.  :)
She did great collecting the eggs, and even moved out of the way a few times to make sure other kids could get some eggs- such a sweet girl.  After the hunt, we stood in line and turned our eggs in for a yummy treat bag full of toys and candy.
This time, she did NOT turn down the candy from a stranger, and was very excited to have a few samples at the park.
Sunday morning, we found that the Easter Bunny had visited our house! The Easter Bunny got a little carried away this year, and Keira walked away with books, bubbles, candy, stuffed animals, and...
Keira's favorite, dress up shoes!  She insisted on putting them on immediately, and walked around the house showing us her "pretty shoes!"  I have never been so proud.  :)
Later that afternoon, we had some friends and Keira's buddy Jackson come over for Easter ham and another egg hunt!  Keira and Jackson always play so well together, and the egg hunt was no different.  They took turns and had a great time, and especially loved the jelly beans inside the eggs.
 Little BFFs!
