January!?!?

I can't believe I haven't updated since Christmas!  We've had a very busy couple of months around here, obviously! I was off of work most of the month of January, so Keira and I filled it up with lots of fun!  Keira picked out her very own tool kit from a gift card from Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Spry (thank you, she LOVES it!) and loves to "help" daddy fix things around the house.

"My helping!" is one of Keira's favorite new things to say.  She was so cute, she would take different tools out and bang them on the fence in different places.
We also found time to have plenty of play dates.  We visited the Wild Animal Park with Aidan and Sara.  They loved riding the tram and checking out all of the animals.  They especially loved climbing up and down on the bench... These two rarely sit still for too long.
One of Keira's favorite things at the Wild Animal Park is the Merry Go Round.  She picked out her own animal and loved going around and around.  She had a small meltdown when she decided (after the ride had already started) that she liked Aidan's animal more, but she quickly recovered and had a great time.
To top the day off, we treated the kids to ice cream, yummy!
We found several days to visit the ducks at Lake Murray.  Keira LOVES the ducks and LOVES to feed them.  She gets so excited every time they come over to eat some of her snacks.  We have started to take Keira's tricycle to the lake, it is wonderful to get out into the sunshine enjoy ourselves.
We also took several trips to the park.  Keira is a big fan of our local park.  She could spend hours there, every day.  It's surreal for me to watch how every time we go to the park, she can do something new.  She's definitely a dare devil, and is taking on more ladders and slides than I'd like.  She certainly keeps me on my toes!
She also is fascinated with babies and helping, and is so excited whenever she gets to play with baby Kaitlyn.
We finished out my winter break with a playdate with Jackson.  The kids played so well together, and spent the entire day together coloring, playing outside, painting, and playing, playing, playing.  We always have such a great time playing with Jackson!
