Daddy is 30!!!

For James' 30th Birthday, he decided he would like to host the Beer Olympics.  A few years ago, we took a weekend camping trip with lot of our friends and did something similar, so we decided to host the first annual Beer Olympics in honor of James' birthday.  Our friends came out to our neighborhood park to celebrate, barbeque, and play plenty of beer drinking games.
We had beer pong and a flip cup event-

Bobby could use some work on his flipping.
Keira was at home with a babysitter for the first few hours, but we had a last minute change of plans, so she came out to celebrate with us.  Luckily, there was a playground at the park, so she and I spent plenty of time on the swings and slides.
We all had a great time!
I wasn't the only person entertaining Keira, she got in some quality time with Uncle Ben as well.
I created Beer Olympics medals for the winners of each event.  At first, James teased me about them, but they were a HUGE hit!  Dana, Cortney, and Chia are proudly displaying their hard earned medals!
We had lots of friends and family drive in for the celebration, we all had a fantastic time!
Keira and I spent some time on the swings...
...while the partiers finished the flip cup challenge.

Aunt Catherine gave me a break and played some Cornhole with Keira- or a modified version of Cornhole, mostly walking over and dropping the beanbags in the holes.
We played two games of Sloshball- Kickball with a beer component- and had an amazing time.  It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time!

Keira found plenty of snacks and laps to sit on.

The tricky thing about sloshball is the requirement that all players have to have a cup with beer in it at all times- we saturated the field in beer- it was flying everywhere!
One of the funner rules was that all disputes should be settled with a "chug-off."  The winner of the chug wins the dispute.  This rule was called into play several times...

Cortney created yet ANOTHER spectacular cake, complete with an edible frosting James!  The Olympic Rings are actually beer tops.  She's so creative!
We all sang happy birthday- in Keira's case, Happy You You- and devoured the delicious cake!
 Happy Birthday, Daddy!
