Carpinteria 2011

We were so excited to head up to Carpinteria again this summer for annual family camping.  Everyone had a great time, and Keira certainly had no shortage of attention for three days.
We always have a wonderful time at Carp.  This summer, Keira was much more of an active participant in the camping, as opposed to last summer, when she pretty much played in the dirt.  She loved playing board games with her cousins and aunts and uncles.  She was awesome at this game, where you roll a ball onto the board and try to get it to stay in the holes.  She even won a few times!
As always, the days were full of play time at the beach.  Keira built sand castles...
Buried her cousins in the sand (and got buried herself, which she LOVED)...
found tons of time for charming aunties and uncles...

 Ran, ran, ran...
And convinced anyone and everyone to take her out to the water...
She was hilarious, she was running around in the waves, singing "I love the water, I love the water!" and "I love the beach!"  She is definitely a California girl...
Although we spend a majority of time at the beach, we still had lots of fun times at the campsite.  Keira got to play her favorite game, cornhole- and she's actually getting pretty good!
We had so many dogs, and Baxter was the perfect size for Keira to take on a walk.
She also had a great time riding her tricycle around the campsites, and even convinced some aunties and uncles to take her on a few rides.
Of course, of favorite part of the trip was spending time with family, especially Keira's older cousins.  They were all so wonderful with her, and are definitely welcome at our house ANY TIME they want to babysit...
On Saturday night, we celebrated family birthdays!  Ben, Wayne, Andee, and Bradley were all having birthdays within a week of each other, and we all got to enjoy delicious cake!  Keira loves singing happy birthday, and I think got in on the blowing out of the candles as well- you can see her little head in the bottom of the picture.
 Delicious cake!
Another fabulous camping trip, can't wait for next year!!
