This easel was an excellent purchase. Keira plays with magnetic letters, chalk, crayons, markers, and more recently, paint! She loved the painting, and painted 4 huge pictures! At first, she did not like the paint being on her fingers, and kept showing me the paint and saying, "Mommy, the hand, the hand!" We went through quite a few wipes until she gave up and just got messy. She did a great job, and had a ton of fun! We did start painting inside, but I decided painting was much better outside, so we went onto the patio to finish. We stayed dry and had fun!
Another of her favorite activities is cooking. We pull up a dining room chair to the stove and she helps add ingredients and stir, and finally, her favorite thing, taste! I didn't have to show her how to taste the spoon when we were done, she did that all on her own, and she licked that spoon clean!
Yum! She always enjoys her "coo-koos!"
Keira also loves her books, some of her favorites are David Goes to School, Eric Carle's 1-10, Go Away Big Green Monster, Goodnight Moon, Fancy Nancy, and anything Elmo or Abby. I can't think of anything better than cuddling up to Keira reading books, it's my favorite thing! :)
On one recent rainy day, we made a fort in the living room. She loved getting under the blankets, bringing all her toys and books under and playing.
Sometimes, the best thing to do is snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie. I was sick last week, so I gave in and finally showed her a movie, our first together. We watched the beginning of Monster's Inc, and she recognized Mike Wazowski from her stuffed animal, so she went and grabbed him and he came up onto the couch with us! She was so funny, anytime Boo was gone, she'd look at me and say "where baby go? Baby, where are you?" She was very concerned about Boo, it was very cute.
