Spring is Here!

Spring has arrived and it is getting warm!  We are enjoying our new backyard every day.  Keira has figured out how to open the slider all by herself, and goes outside every chance she gets.  She's a sneaky little one, and her favorite thing to do is run away, laughing, when she's been caught.  We got her a little splashing pool, and she loves it.  She tries to pull the hose to the pool when we go outside, no matter what the temperature.  The splashing pool was definitely a great investment!

 

 We have also been getting outside for play dates with Keira's friends.  First, we went to the Spring Fest Parade and Festival in our neighborhood.  It was so cute watching Keira and her buddy Jackson cheer for the parade.  Keira's favorite part was definitely the doggies and the bands. 

 

We were also excited to have some play time with our friend Chris' son Cristian.  Keira loves playing with Cristian and is learning some important lessons about being gentle with babies who are smaller than her.

 James and some of our (wonderful) friends and (amazing) Uncle Vince worked all of Memorial Weekend installing a new fence in our backyard.  It was a lot more work than they had anticipated (as home improvement projects ALWAYS are), but it looks awesome now, and we can't thank them enough!

We managed to fit in some fun over the weekend, finding time to barbeque and enjoy the fire pit, and Keira got in lots of Uncle Vince snuggles!

Keira's newest favorite trick is throwing ANYTHING... we prefer when she is throwing Aiden's toy or food to the ducks, and not her cup and/or pacifier when she is "unhappy."  Keira LOVES playing fetch with Aiden, but usually only gets the toy 2 feet in front of her.  Aiden will play along for awhile, but usually loses interest before Keira does.

Aiden will grab the toy and run around the joy, much to Keira's delight.

 We have been walking to Lake Murray on the weekends, and Keira loves to feed the ducks.  She throws the bread and laughs when the ducks come to eat her bread.  It is adorable!
