Swinging...
We started Halloween morning by carving our pumpkins, Keira was not too sure about the yucky pumpkin seeds and other "guts," but she touched it and was an excellent spectator, until naptime came, and Daddy and I got out our knives and finished the carving.
Daddy was ALL business.
Our little "pumpkin"
We didn't think a haunted house was appropriate for Keira, so we decided to take a trip to Balboa Park, where the highlight was certainly going on the merry-go-round. Their merry-go-round really GOES- fast! Notice our hair being blown by the wind. I was a little worried she was going to be scared- our little bench also rocked pretty quickly-
-but our little daredevil LOVED it! She was laughing, but holding on to Mommy VERY tightly! This is most definitely something she gets from Daddy, I was a little wobbly after the ride... it is pretty sad my 8 month old baby is braver on rides than me. Oh well, at least James has someone he can visit Magic Mountain with someday!
We finished the day by getting Keira all dressed in her first costume- "Boo" from Monster's Inc... with her friend Mike Wazowski, of course-
Going Trick-or-Treating at Aunt Erin and Uncle Brian's, and posing for pictures with everyone, even cousins Lola (shark) and Dixie (Wonder Woman).
She also (unsuccessfully) tried to try a piece of Halloween Candy- beginning what I'm sure will be years of Aunt Erin and Uncle Brian spoiling our girl and giving her all kinds of things Mommy and Daddy say "no" to. We finished our night there and headed up to Poway for a barbeque and bonfire at Joy and Garret's. All in all, it was a fantastic Halloween. Happy Halloween!
