Visit to Santa Maria

Keira and I took a trip together up to Santa Maria to visit Grandma and Grandpa's and celebrate my friend's 30th birthday.  We had a great time, and the highlight for Keira was certainly all the food!  She had her first taste of syrup with her pancakes at breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Arce, Aunt Vicki, and Grammie. She LOVED dipping her pancakes in the syrup and needless to say, required quite a bit of clean up and changing when it was over.
Take a look at her sweater- it isn't usually shiny with syrup!
We also visited Grandma Arce's work and Grandpa Spry's work to show off their Granddaughter.  Keira was shy for the teachers, but came right out of her shell when Grandpa offered her a bite of his breakfast sandwich. I'm seeing a pattern with my girl- the way to her heart is definitely through her stomach!
We also got LOTS of playing time with Grandma, and Keira even said something that sounded like Grandma to BOTH Grandmas, much to their delight.
Keira also found time to play with her favorite thing- Doggies!  We played fetch with Uncle Vince's dog, Sadie.  Keira watched Grandma and Mommy throw the frisbee, and tried her best to throw it, but it never went far enough, and Sadie didn't run after the frisbee, so Keira took it to her... we'll have to work on her frisbee skills.
On Friday, Ashley and Ryland met us at the park, and had a great time running around, climbing the stairs and going down the slide.
On Friday night, I had a great time at Ashley's 30th birthday!  I got to see old friends and get a little crazy!
She was pooped from a long couple of days, and did great for MOST of the drive- easy for her until the last hour, stuck in traffic in San Diego County. Luckily, she knocked out and I had a peaceful ride in the traffic.  We had a great time but we're always glad to be home!
